Which donor requirements do you work to?

Our FMA team has experience working with requirements of major bilateral and multilateral donors, including FCDO, SIDA, Danida, EU, UN agencies and Embassies. Our approach is tailored to each donor's grant conditions, financial reporting, procurement, compliance, safeguarding and assurance requirements

Do you also provide independent audits?

Yes, subject to applicable independence and ethical requirements. Each engagement is assessed for potential conflicts of interest, and appropriate safeguards are applied where permissible. Where independence cannot be adequately maintained, we would not undertake the audit engagement.

Can you support multi-country programmes?

Yes. We have experience supporting multi-country and regional programmes. Through the Baker Tilly International network, we combine central coordination and consistent quality standards with local country expertise and on-the-ground support.

Can you set up and run the finance function for a grant?

Yes. We can support the full grant financial-management lifecycle, including financial framework design, budgeting and forecasting, accounting, internal controls, cash-flow management, compliance and donor reporting. Our support can supplement an existing finance team or provide more comprehensive grant-management support.

How does an engagement start?

We start by understanding the programme, funding arrangements, donor requirements, key risks and support required. We then agree the scope, deliverables and timelines, conduct an inception process and mobilize the appropriate team. The specific mobilization timeline depends on the size and complexity of the assignment.
