As the Regional Head for EMEA, Mahmud leads Baker Tilly Meralis’ international and financial consulting practice, delivering high-quality, global solutions to our clients with a strong local understanding. With Meralis Group offices in London, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, and associated Baker Tilly Meralis offices in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and Somalia, Mahmud ensures we meet the highest standards of audit and consulting excellence worldwide.

A distinguished leader, Mahmud serves as Vice Chairman on the board of a publicly listed company in Turkey, contributing to its Corporate Governance and Audit & Risk Management Committees. He is also a respected consultant for Dubai Real Estate Institute, where he provides specialized training and consultancy for Owners Associations and Community Managers. His expertise covers Service Charge Audits, budget reviews, and consultations with RERA to enhance governance for Owners Associations.

Mahmud holds several prestigious qualifications, including being a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales (ICAEW) and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA), a Certified Public Accountant (Kenya), and an Associate Member of the UK Institute of Taxation. His extensive background, commitment to quality, and global perspective position him as a vital asset to our clients, supporting them with clarity, reliability, and in-depth expertise across markets.
